Dive Operator: Careyitos/Advanced
Divers

We've just returned from our second set of dives with a wonderful operator in Cozumel, Careyitos/Advanced Divers. This operation has the best dive masters and crew you can imagine. This is NOT a regimented "get you in and out fast" deal. Dives are fully expected to average 60 minutes or more - safety stop at 500 PSI, out of the water at 300 PSI. Surface interval is at least 1 1/2 hours, with a very nice lunch served on-board, usually while moored at a white sand beach. The crew makes homemade guacamole and pico de gallo on the way out which is served fro lunch along with sandwiches and fruit. Ricardo, the owner/dive master, is adept at finding the best uncrowded sites and most interesting marine life. There are usually 2-3 other dive masters (Cielo, Tony and Susan) in the water, and no more than 12 divers - on our 10 dives, we never had more than 8 divers! These competent dm's are very observant and provide gentle hints that improve your technique. Crew competently handles exit and set-up for next dive. No swimming for the boat - always right there to pick you up. This is a diver's dream!
